What you will learn
- Follow safe workshop practices and communicate at work
- Measure, calculate and interpret drawings and work documents
- Move and store timber and products
- Use furniture-making hand and power tools
- Operate and maintain basic woodworking machines
- Make timber joints and assemble furnishing components
- Construct basic timber products and furniture using leg-and-rail methods
- Select timber and work with solid timber or manufactured board
- Prepare surfaces and apply furniture finishes
